Panel Discussion – Advancing Public Health in the Age of Misinformation

It is no exaggeration to say that our communities are awash in misinformation. Fabricated, manipulated, misleading or just plain false, the volume of this deceptive content is distorting our ability to base decisions on a common, evidence-based foundation.

This phenomenon is especially troubling in the field of public health, where individuals’ decisions can have outsized impacts on the health and well-being of their community.

Join VtPHA and our panelists as we explore why misinformation is becoming ever more pervasive, how it impacts us, and what we can do to rebuild trust in evidence-based knowledge that will keep our communities safe.
