Agency Membership

Agency Membership is open to local and state government agencies, academic institutions and nonprofit, non-governmental organizations operating within the state of Vermont and which have an interest in promoting public health.

The following types of organizations may be eligible for Agency membership in VtPHA. The listing is intended to be descriptive but not exhaustive.

Governmental health agencies, including public health, environmental health, etc.
Voluntary health agencies
Health and welfare councils
Agencies that provide health services
Agencies that have a public health-oriented mission
Nonprofit academic institutions

VtPHA Agency Members

Benefits of Agency Membership in VtPHA:

Discounted membership dues for all Agency Member employees/volunteers/students who wish to become individual or student members of VtPHA.
Recognition of Agency Members on the VtPHA website and at the Annual Meeting and at any other VtPHA sponsored event.
The opportunity to post job listings on the VtPHA website

Agency Member Application Process:

All new Agency Member applicants must submit a VtPHA Agency Member Application Form (below). The application must then be approved by the VtPHA Board which meets monthly. The organization and its employees/volunteers/students will become eligible for VtPHA member benefits once the VtPHA board approval has been granted and the applicable annual Agency Membership dues has been received.

Agency (1-25) - $75.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Organizations with up to 25 employees, volunteers, and students.

Agency (26-50) - $150.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Organizations with between 26 and 50 employees, volunteers, and students.

Agency (51-100) - $300.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Organizations with between 51 and 100 employees.

Agency (101-500) - $500.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Organizations with between 101 and 500 employees, volunteers, and students.

Agency (501-1,000) - $750.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Organizations with between 501 and 1,000 employees, volunteers, and students.

Agency (1,000+) - $1,000.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Organizations with more than 1,000 employees, volunteers, and students.

About the association

VtPHA is a membership organization which facilitates collaboration among people who care about public health and are interested in protecting and promoting the health of Vermont residents.

VtPHA is an Affiliate of the American Public Health Association (APHA). APHA is the national voice of public health and champions the health of all people and all communities. They are the only organization that combines a 140-plus year perspective, the ability to influence federal policy to improve the public’s health and a member community from all public health disciplines and over 40 countries.
