Vermont public health association

1. Connection: You are connected to a larger group banded together to produce positive results for public health in Vermont.

2. Annual Educational Conference: The annual conference provides quality education and networking for public health professionals, and you receive a discount by being a VtPHA member.  You can contribute to the theme, help plan the conference and attend to enhance your professional development.

3. Public Policy / Advocacy: You can contribute to the strong advocacy program centered on assuring that public health voices are heard throughout Vermont.  

4. Free Informational Services: The association keeps members in touch with each other and informed of current issues through the association’s website, newsletter and email updates of emerging issues relevant to public health. 

5. Networking: The association provides you with many opportunities to network with public health professionals in our state; build your contacts; share ideas, best practices and solutions to enhance your current job; and find opportunities for career enhancement.

6. Affiliation: You will be formally affiliated with YOUR professional association and public health professionals throughout Vermont and the region. You are also linked to the American Public Health Association Council of Affiliates through your VtPHA membership. 

7. Educational Offerings: You are informed about public health educational opportunities and events.

8. Leadership Opportunities: Opportunities to learn and practice leadership within VtPHA are provided, which in turn can contribute to your professional growth.  Opportunities are available on the Board, committees and special projects that match your interests.
